This watch is very handsome and has an easy to read dial. The band is very comfortable, and is noted for not pulling hairs like some watch bands. The watch does not "wander" on your arm like some; it stays perfectly centered on my wrist. The sapphire crystal shrugs off encounters that would leave an ordinary watch crystal dinged or scratched.
I think the movement is the most advanced of any mechanical movement in the world. It is accurate and requires less frequent maintenance than similar brands.

Omega has hit a home run with its co-axial escapement movement and its Seamaster series. I have the "Quantum of Solace" Planet Ocean Seamaster model, and it is also superbly accurate--and handsome. I don't see why anyone would want to pay thousands more for a Rolex, or for one of those "avant garde" pieces that no "man of action" would be caught dead wearing! ----- more in the links
This is a beautiful watch, as are all watches made by Omega. Amazon sells them for 20% cheaper than any place I know of locally.
Torneau at the mall had it selling for list price, while amazon has it for $500 less. Great deal here, and no tax! All watches sold BY Amazon directly are genuine and authentic.
